WOMAN TO LEAD AOB NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE 2024- MADAM WINIFRED ABAIDOO-AYIN ELECTED

 

Madam Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin

Madam Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin emerged victorious in today’s NPP primaries, securing 226 votes, surpassing all male contenders. She is slated to lead the NPP in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency in 2024, representing the people of AOB.

She received relatively limited attention from the delegates, amidst a fierce contest predominantly led by male contenders. The election field was notably occupied by prominent figures, including the former MP, Honorable Anthony Effah, who was staging a comeback, alongside other esteemed party stalwarts recognized by the populace and the good people of AOB.

Former MP Anthony Effah was number one on the ballot. Emmanuel Adjei Domson was second on the ballot, followed by Lawrence Edutuah-Asiaw (DCE), Mr. Michael Kyeremanteng (C4C), Mr. Banasco Francis Ampong-Ansah, and last on the ballot was Madam Winifred Abaidoo-Ayin, who eventually carried the day as she was given the mandate by the delegates.

BANASCO FRANCIS AMPONG-ANSAH –32

The election was held in the district capital, Breman Asikuma.
