Sing-A-Thon:Reactions to Ghana’s Afua Asantewaa starting a Guinness World Record-Breaking

Ghanaians are backing Afua Asantewaa Aduonum on social media as she officially starts a sing-a-thon to shatter the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.
Ghanaians have praised her valiant attempt to uplift Ghana by reclaiming the prestigious title previously held by Indian Sunil Waghmare.

 

Besides the crowds of people that have gathered at the venue to cheer her on, online users have united in support of her on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter).

Throughout the first two hours of the live broadcast, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum played hit songs by well-known female musicians, such as Becca, Adina, Wendy Shay, Sefa, and the late Ebony Reigns. She decided to perform the show without cosmetics, earrings, or makeup on her face.
