Martha Ankomah files a complaint of defamation lawsuit against LilWin and seeks GHC5 million as compensation.

Actress Martha Ankomah has been reported to have sued Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, of Kumawood.

This follows LilWin’s recent criticism of the actress for, among other things, showing unwillingness and turning down an offer to work with Kumawood.

A week or two ago, LilWin lambasted Martha for her previous remarks made in a few interviews with the media, which attempted to downplay the storyline of some of the recent Kumawood movies in comparison to the Agya Koo era. In a social media video that went viral, he was heard making harsh and inappropriate remarks about the actress.

In two interviews, one in 2017 with Hitz FM and the other in 2023 with Accra FM, Martha Ankomah downplayed the story lines of contemporary Kumawood films in comparison to the Agya Koo era.

“I love their storylines, and they used to have really good movies like Kumasi Yonkuo, but of late, most of their movies portray witchcraft, and that does not motivate me to shoot with them,” she said in her Hitz FM interview.
