In a day, Black Sherif’s “Kilos Milos” is the most popular song on Apple Music Ghana.

Only twenty-four hours after the release of his track “Kilos Milos,” rapper and musician Black Sherif of Ghana has topped the Apple Music Top 100 Ghana Chart.

The song is now number one, surpassing songs like “Favourite Story” by King Promise, “Defe Defe” by Team Eternity, and “Last Heartbreak Song” by Ayra Starr.

“Kilos Milos” was released on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, and it has excited Black Sherif’s fan base.

The Hip-Hop and Afrobeat combination of the single, which was produced by Kwame Agger and Joker Nharnah, carries on the musician’s tradition of inventive music.

Black Sherif’s most recent release comes after the popularity of his last single, “Shut Up,” which turned into a street anthem.

In “Kilos Milos,” Black Sherif inspires his listeners to never give up on their goals and to keep moving forward in the face of adversity with a strong message of hope, tenacity, resilience, and determination.

The song’s lyrics are as follows: “In times back when we hit milli (thousands), we spend half and use the remainder to import things, okiloo, okiloo, the big type, elephants. In times back when we hit millis, we spent half and used the remainder to import umbrellas. Time is not on our side forever, time often makes us deaf.”

In retrospect, Black Sherif revealed to GraphicShowbiz,”This song is a reflection of my personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs. I also drew inspiration from my surroundings to craft the lyrics so that it can resonate with my listeners.”

Later this year, the 2023 VGMA Artiste of the Year will release his sophomore album, which he is also hinting at being the release of.
